  • The treatment for vitamin D toxicity involves stopping vitamin D supplements and reducing intake of foods high in vitamin D.
  • In severe cases, medical interventions may be needed to lower calcium levels.
  • The recommended amount of vitamin D for adults is 600 to 800 IU per day, with a maximum limit of 4,000 IU per day to prevent toxicity.
