National Space Innovation Challenge 2023

Context- Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog in collaboration with Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Navars Edutech successfully launched the National Space Innovation Challenge 2023.
Key Highlights
- NSIC 2023 is a national level campaign to inspire the next generation of space enthusiasts to understand and promote India’s growing space economy and future space workforce.
- It is a national platform where you can be inspired by industry leaders, explore research opportunities and introduce innovations to the world.
Objectives of the National Space Innovation Challenge (NSIC)
- Atal Innovation Mission announced NSIC which is open to all school children across the country with an aim to promote innovation and curiosity among school children.
- It provides integrated content, resources and challenges from industry mentoring videos for Junior Scholars (Grades 5-8) and Senior Scholars (Grades 9-12), allowing students to brainstorm and present a short research report on a solution to various topics such as Space.
- Garbage collection robot, reusable rocket design, satellite design, Indian spacecraft design for Mars and many more.
- Enables the innovation of young school students to create awareness and opportunities to participate in space early and in a way that not only helps them learn about space, but also creates interesting projects and innovations that are really important to the industry.
Qualification
- Students of the class 5 to 12 will be given an open platform to innovate and solve modern spatial problems from August 11 to September 20, 2023.
- Students (from ATL and non-ATL schools) can submit their applications through the link of automated technology platform Navars Edutech.
- Each student must choose one challenge based on their interest and understanding that fits under any challenge topic.
