    • Location: Established in 1988, it is spread across an area of 163 square kilometers.

    • Fauna: Houses the hoolock gibbon, Indian bison, and golden langur. It is also a habitat for various resident and migratory birds.

National Parks in Tripura

Currently, Tripura does not have any designated national parks. However, its wildlife sanctuaries play a crucial role in protecting biodiversity and could potentially be upgraded to national park status in the future.

Ramsar Sites in Tripura

Tripura does not have any officially designated Ramsar sites. Ramsar sites are wetlands of international importance recognized under the Ramsar Convention. While Tripura has several wetlands, none have been listed as Ramsar sites yet.
