JANANI Platform
In News: JANANI (Journey of Antenatal, Natal and Neonatal Integrated Care) was announced by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at the recently concluded National Summit on Innovation and Inclusivity.
- JANANI Platform is a service-oriented digital platform for the comprehensive monitoring and management of digital health records of women during their reproductive years.
- It is being developed as an improved platform of the current Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) portal.
- The platform is digital and is introducing QR-enabled digital Mother and Child Health (MCH) Cards to provide convenient and portable access to health records.
- It enables real-time monitoring with high-risk pregnancy alerts, dashboards for supervisory and due-list generation for timely interventions.
- It has the capacity to connect to national systems like U-WIN and POSHAN, which facilitates smooth data transfer and synchronised tracking of beneficiaries.
- It lets beneficiaries register with their ABHA, Aadhaar, or mobile number; facilitates self-registration; and helps to maintain continuity and avoid duplicate registrations for migratory people and populations.
Article 26(b)
In News: The court had posed a question as to whether the power to excommunicate does not fall under Article 26(b).
- Article 26 is about the Freedom to manage religious affairs and provides rights for every religious denomination or a section of any religion except for public order, morality and health.
- (a) to create and maintain religious and charitable institutions;
- (b) to conduct its own religious affairs;
- (c) to be able to own and buy land and houses; and
- (d) to manage such property according to the law.
